You are invited to a special panel discussion on “Growing Your English Ministrïes”
Date: Sunday, July 19 from 3 to 5 pm
Location: Lord’s Grace Christian Church, 1101 San Antonio Rd. Mountain View, CA 94043.
We have invited Pastor Joey Chen from Sunset Church in San Francisco and Pastor Steve Quen from Bay Area Chinese Bible Church in Alameda to speak on these topics: building a church for the millennials; bringing college grades back to the mother church; reviving the children ministry; making youth ministry relevant; building young church leaders, etc.
Effective ministry to the English-speaking members is most significant for the future of Chinese churches in North America. Searching for effective strategies and adoption of innovative paradigms is a never-ending struggle. We are grateful to Pastor Joey and Pastor Steve for their willingness to share their experience and insight with us.
Dr. Bill Tam will be the facilitator of the panel discussion. You are encouraged to dialogue with Pastor Joey and Pastor Steve during the Q & A session. We will also reserve time at the end for prayer.
Please make all effort to come and take part in such an important dialogue with fellow pastors in the Bay Area. (Please see the poster here.)
The contest winners have been selected. They are:
1st place: Revival in America by Mathew Ernst, Colorado
2nd place: Reviving America by SatowGrace Satow, Ohio
3rd place: Revival of Courage, Fellowship, Joy, and Zeal by Elizabeth Goenner, Kansas
ARTGPM is a Christian non-profit organization founded in 2006 with the purpose to pray for America’s spiritual revival. We call for America to return to God’s value and live up to God’s missions for us on earth. ARTGPM began with Rev. Thomas Wang editing a book entitled “America Return to God” in 2005. 30 articles from Christian leaders contributed articles to the book. These articles range from the social, spiritual and political trend of America to how Christians can turn the tide through prayers and participation in spiritual, social and political activities. The book was read by thousands and thousands of readers throughout the country. Many Christians were moved by the work and a prayer movement, ARTGPM, was started in the San Francisco Bay Area in the same year.
The essay contest is launched in 2013 to encourage high school and college students to think about the importance of spirituality in the churches and what are the steps to revive American churches.

Tip: Think of the current spiritual condition of Christian churches in America. Is there anything wrong with the values, conduct or spirituality of the church members? Are we honoring Biblical values? Are Christians effective in influencing the world outside the church walls? Quote examples. What can Christians do to bring revival to the churches? What would happen if nobody cares to do anything?
